Arriving at Oak Bay High after years of Military discipline at University School, I found myself on the first day in Home Room sitting across from a very pretty girl (Karen)! Long story short I failed Grade 10! So four years at OBH. But hay! I was President of Club 13!! Great memories! After grad, I sold Mens Wear, Encyclopaedias, Life Insurance etc. etc.! I then was employed by Cox Retail Audits and after a while I was sent to Ontario to set up Security Offices for Woolco Stores. I hired staff and set up their Office and then moved on to another Store. I ended up in StCatharines, On, where in 1971 I married Joni LeBlanc and 45 yrs. Later we are still happily married. We moved to Vancouver where I went to UBC and got my Real Estate Licence and our first Daughter was born,( Petrice). We then moved to Victoria where I sold Real Estate for my Father’s firm. Our second Daughter (Kelly) arrived and we decided that we would move to St.Catharines where I started my Career on The St.Lawrence Seaway. We purchased a home in the village of Chippawa (part of the city of Niagara Falls). 30 years later I retired as Operations Superintendent. We were responsible for the safe movements of Shipping through the Great Lakes and the Welland Canal. We have two Grand Sons, two cats and my little Dog. We get back to Victoria every two years, which I still consider my home.
